INV Metals awarded mining title to Las Penas project

INV Metals Inc. on Jan. 23 said it has been awarded the mining title to the Las Penas project in Ecuador, comprising nine adjoining concessions covering 30,278 hectares.

According to INV, previous work carried out between 1993 and 2000 in the area indicates the presence of potential gold mineralization through the numerous geochemical anomalies, alteration and mineralization already identified on the property.

Las Penas' concessions are about 20 kilometers to 40 kilometers north of INV's Loma Larga gold project, and the company believes Las Penas holds numerous low and intermediate sulfidation gold, silver and base metal targets.
