American Realty Capital New York City REIT Inc. amended its tender offer and is now offering to purchase up to 1.6 million of its own shares at $17.03 apiece.

The company originally offered to buy up to 1,935,484 shares at $15.50 apiece.

The office-focused REIT initially commenced the offer in response to Comrit Investments 1 LP's $14.68-per-share tender offer to buy up to 1.6 million American Realty shares. Comrit then subsequently raised the per-share offer price to $16.02 and extended the tender offer expiration date.

Both the tender offers are slated to expire March 20 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
