Japan's industrial production on a seasonally adjusted basis increased 0.5% in April from the previous month, an upward revision from the preliminary estimate of a 0.3% increase, data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry showed.
Shipments were revised lower to an increase of 1.6% from 1.8%. The decline in inventories was revised higher to 0.6% from 0.4%. The inventory ratio was down 2.8% in April, slightly below the initial estimate of a 2.9% decrease.
Operating ratio increased 1.8% in April from March.
