Jui Li Enterprise Co. Ltd. said its first-quarter normalized net income amounted to a loss of 13 Taiwan cents per share, compared with a loss of 22 cents per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of NT$24.4 million, compared with a loss of NT$40.7 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to negative 2.5% from negative 4.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 12.1% on an annual basis to NT$959.9 million from NT$856.4 million, and total operating expenses grew 6.4% from the prior-year period to NT$963.7 million from NT$906.1 million.
Reported net income totaled a loss of NT$61.4 million, or a loss of 34 cents per share, compared to a loss of NT$78.9 million, or a loss of 43 cents per share, in the year-earlier period.
