Monarques Gold Corp. said Feb. 22 that it plans to complete 50,000 meters of drilling at its Beaufor gold mine and Croinor gold project in Quebec this year, comprising 30,000 meters at Beaufor and 20,000 meters at Croinor.
Drilling at Croinor is scheduled to start in March and will continue testing the project's mineralization at depth and will drill at the east and west ends of the deposit. Apart from high-potential targets within the deposit's vicinity, drilling will also cover areas with insufficient data to increase the project's indicated resource.
Drilling at Beaufor will include 14,000 meters of definition drilling and 16,000 meters of exploration drilling designed to follow-up on the results of the previous drill campaign at the mine.
The new program at Beaufor will continue to test the mineralization within the deposit's extensions and at depth in order to increase the mine's resource and extend the mine life.
