Premier African estimates 20.1 million-tonne resource at Zulu lithium project

Premier African Minerals Ltd. estimated a maiden resource for its Zulu lithium-tantalum project in Zimbabwe of 20.1 million tonnes at 1.06% lithium oxide containing 526,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent and 1,025 tonnes of tantalum pentoxide.

The maiden resource estimate covers only 35% of the project's known 3.5-kilometer surface strike length, according to the June 6 release.

The company also expects the exploration target for Zulu to be between 60 million tonnes and 80 million tonnes, it said.

The deposit remains open at depth and along strike, and the company is undertaking further drilling to expand and upgrade the estimate.
