Ausmon Resources Ltd. said May 18 that its New Base Metals Pty. Ltd. unit was granted two exploration licenses that are valid for six years and form part of the Broken Hill cobalt-nickel project in New South Wales, Australia.
The ASX-listed miner said the third application, ELA 5639, is expected to be granted soon. Prior to the grant of the third application, the company is planning to relog historical drilling within the area for cobalt, which was not done by previous explorers. An airborne survey is also being planned.
