Gamehost Q1 profit falls YOY

Gamehost Inc. said its first-quarter normalized net income was 14 Canadian cents per share, a decline of 13.6% from 17 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was C$3.6 million, a decline of 13.6% from C$4.1 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 19.8% from 20.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 8.6% on an annual basis to C$18.1 million from C$19.8 million, and total operating expenses declined 5.7% year over year to C$11.6 million from C$12.3 million.

Reported net income decreased 20.8% from the prior-year period to C$4.2 million, or 17 cents per share, from C$5.3 million, or 21 cents per share.
