Taokaenoi Food & Marketing Q1 profit climbs YOY

Taokaenoi Food & Marketing PCL said its normalized net income for the first quarter was 9 satang per share, an increase from 4 satang per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 125.4 million baht, a gain from 40.8 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 12.3% from 5.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 45.6% year over year to 1.02 billion baht from 701.8 million baht, and total operating expenses grew 29.6% year over year to 819.1 million baht from 632.0 million baht.

Reported net income rose on an annual basis to 160.6 million baht, or 12 satang per share, from 51.3 million baht, or 5 satang per share.
