Solvay closes Cytec Industries deal

Solvay SA on Dec. 9 closed its deal to acquire Cytec Industries Inc. for a transaction value of $6.25 billion.

The company offered $75.25 per share for the stake.

In addition to general closing conditions, the deal required additional review for antitrust concerns.

Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Ltd. and Morgan Stanley & Co. International PLC were the financial advisers for Solvay, and Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and Linklaters LLP were the legal advisers.

J.P. Morgan Securities LLC was the financial adviser for Cytec Industries, while Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP and Sullivan & Cromwell LLP were the legal advisers.
