Report: Credit Suisse M&A advisory exec to join Goldman Sachs

Tibor Kossa, head of the German and Austrian M&A business of Credit Suisse Group AG, is leaving the Swiss bank after 15 years to join Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Bloomberg News reported May 15, citing an internal Goldman memo.

Kossa will co-head Goldman Sachs' M&A operations in Germany and Austria with Christopher Droege, a newly promoted Frankfurt-based managing director.

The two new executives will focus on expanding M&A activities in the region by identifying opportunities and acquiring new clients, according to the report.

At Credit Suisse, Kossa specialized in advising clients from the energy and utilities, industrials, and infrastructure sectors.
