Amazon expands free 2-hour delivery service for Whole Foods products

Amazon.com Inc. said June 12 that its Prime subscribers can now use Prime Now app for free two-hour delivery of natural and organic products from Whole Foods Market Inc. in Baltimore, Boston, Philadelphia and Richmond, Va.

The service, which will include fresh produce, meat and seafood, everyday staples and other locally sourced items from Whole Foods Market, is now available in 14 cities across the U.S. and the e-commerce giant plans to continue its expansion across the U.S. throughout 2018.

The two-hour delivery is free on orders of $35 or more, while Prime members who want to receive orders within one hour will have to pay $7.99.

The announcement comes just a day after the e-commerce giant expanded its Prime discount program at Whole Foods to 10 new states in the U.S.
