Nihon Tokushu Toryo fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Nihon Tokushu Toryo Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥25.09 per share, a decline from ¥25.64 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥554.8 million, a decrease from ¥567.0 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 5.8% from 5.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 9.3% year over year to ¥9.63 billion from ¥10.61 billion, and total operating expenses declined 7.3% on an annual basis to ¥9.38 billion from ¥10.12 billion.

Reported net income declined 8.8% from the prior-year period to ¥779.0 million, or ¥35.23 per share, from ¥854.0 million, or ¥38.62 per share.

As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.90.
