Shepherd Neame fiscal H1 profit climbs 8.4% YOY

Shepherd Neame Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 27, 2014, came to 20 Great British pence per share, a gain of 8.5% from 19 pence per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was £3.0 million, an increase of 8.4% from £2.8 million in the prior-year period.

Total revenue rose year over year to £73.5 million from £72.5 million, and total operating expenses rose from the prior-year period to £66.4 million from £65.6 million.

Reported net income grew 15.2% from the prior-year period to £3.9 million, or 26 pence per share, from £3.4 million, or 23 pence per share.
