Adjuvant Cosme Japan fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Adjuvant Cosme Japan Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 20, 2014, came to ¥28.97 per share, a decline of 19.6% from ¥36.06 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥228.8 million, a decline of 18.5% from ¥280.6 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 16.9% from 19.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 5.4% on an annual basis to ¥1.35 billion from ¥1.43 billion, and total operating expenses grew on an annual basis to ¥1.00 billion from ¥979.0 million.

Reported net income declined 17.8% on an annual basis to ¥223.6 million, or ¥28.32 per share, from ¥272.1 million, or ¥34.96 per share.

As of Jan. 30, US$1 was equivalent to ¥117.42.
