Former Australian prime minister joins KKR

Private equity firm KKR & Co. named former Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull a global senior adviser, Reuters reported.

The appointment will take effect June 1.

Turnbull, Australia's 29th prime minister, serving from September 2015 to August 2018, is a former lawyer and held high-profile corporate roles before entering politics in 2004, according to Reuters.
