Bull-Dog Sauce fiscal Q1 profit falls YOY

Bull-Dog Sauce Co. Ltd. its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 was ¥27.90 per share, a decrease from ¥28.81 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥190.6 million, a decline from ¥196.9 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 4.5% from 4.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue totaled ¥4.20 billion, compared with ¥4.21 billion in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses totaled ¥3.97 billion, compared with ¥3.97 billion in the prior-year period.

Reported net income grew from the prior-year period to ¥194.0 million, or ¥28.39 per share, from ¥192.0 million, or ¥28.10 per share.

As of Aug. 11, US$1 was equivalent to ¥102.12.
