Target to launch same-day delivery service in California

Target Corp. said Sept. 6 that it will expand its Shipt same-day delivery service to California, beginning Sept. 20.

The Minneapolis-based retailer will initially roll out the service across northern California before extending it to central and southern California by fall.

Target said it will offer its annual membership for $49 instead of the regular $99 to customers who sign up before the launch.

The company provides its same-day delivery service through Shipt, a grocery delivery company it acquired in 2017.
