Daidoh fiscal Q3 profit climbs YOY

Daidoh Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥14.14 per share, an increase from ¥6.91 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥489.5 million, an increase from ¥234.8 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 7.0% from 3.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to ¥6.97 billion from ¥6.79 billion, and total operating expenses came to ¥6.44 billion, compared with ¥6.48 billion in the prior-year period.

Reported net income rose year over year to ¥909.8 million, or ¥26.28 per share, from ¥50.0 million, or ¥1.47 per share.

As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
