Sysmex Corp. said its earnings for the first nine months of the fiscal year ending March 31 fell 4.4% from the year-ago period, while sales rose 12%.
The Kobe, Japan-based healthcare equipment company said nine-month profit attributable to owners of the parent came in at ¥30.56 billion, down from ¥31.97 billion in the year-ago period.
The company's diluted EPS for the April-December 2017 period was ¥146.37, down from ¥153.19 in the year-ago period.
Nine-month net sales came in at ¥202.55 billion, up from ¥180.79 billion in the same period in the previous fiscal year.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, the company continues to expect profit attributable to owners of the parent of ¥41.50 billion, and net sales of ¥280 billion.
The company expects the annual dividend for the year ending March 31 to be ¥60, higher than the ¥58 paid in prior fiscal year.
As of Feb. 5, US$1 was equivalent to ¥110.10.
