Univance fiscal Q4 profit climbs 52.9% YOY

4916816 said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 amounted to ¥24.96 per share, an increase of 52.9% from ¥16.33 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥521.5 million, a gain of 52.9% from ¥341.1 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 3.1% from 2.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose on an annual basis to ¥16.75 billion from ¥16.16 billion, and total operating expenses grew year over year to ¥16.48 billion from ¥15.79 billion.

Reported net income increased year over year to ¥938.0 million, or ¥44.90 per share, from ¥434.0 million, or ¥20.77 per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥54.78 per share, compared with ¥55.22 per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was ¥1.14 billion, compared with ¥1.15 billion in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue totaled ¥64.78 billion, compared with ¥64.62 billion in the prior year, and total operating expenses rose year over year to ¥64.02 billion from ¥63.16 billion.

The company said reported net income grew 7.6% on an annual basis to ¥1.78 billion, or ¥85.15 per share, in the full year, from ¥1.65 billion, or ¥79.12 per share.
