Hiday Hidaka Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Nov. 30, 2014, came to ¥19.12 per share, an increase of 24.2% from ¥15.39 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥661.3 million, a gain of 24.2% from ¥532.5 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 7.7% from 6.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 8.3% on an annual basis to ¥8.57 billion from ¥7.91 billion, and total operating expenses rose 6.4% from the prior-year period to ¥7.51 billion from ¥7.06 billion.
Reported net income grew 28.7% on an annual basis to ¥592.0 million, or ¥17.12 per share, from ¥460.0 million, or ¥13.29 per share.
As of Jan. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.49.
