Washington Gas Light appoints board of directors member

The board of directors of Washington Gas Light Co. named Elise Hyland as a member.

Effective immediately, Hyland would replace board Chair John Stark, who resigned Aug. 20, according to an Aug. 26 SEC filing. Her appointment would meet commitments related to the July 6, 2018, completion of the merger agreement among AltaGas Ltd., Wrangler Inc. and WGL Holdings Inc. Hyland has served as a natural gas industry executive and leader, with over 35 years of experience in management, business development and manufacturing technology.

Washington Light Gas provides natural gas service to more than 1.1 million customers in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
