Yonkyu fiscal Q3 profit climbs 8.3% YOY

Yonkyu Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥27.56 per share, an increase of 8.3% from ¥25.44 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥317.5 million, an increase of 8.3% from ¥293.1 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 3.1% from 2.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 8.3% year over year to ¥10.33 billion from ¥11.26 billion, and total operating expenses declined 9.0% on an annual basis to ¥9.88 billion from ¥10.85 billion.

Reported net income decreased on an annual basis to ¥258.0 million, or ¥22.39 per share, from ¥269.0 million, or ¥23.34 per share.

As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
