Berkshire Hills Bancorp ups dividend

Berkshire Hills Bancorp Inc.'s board increased the quarterly dividend by 5% to 21 cents per share.

Stockholders of record as of Feb. 16 will receive the dividend on March 2.

For the three months ended Dec. 31, 2016, the Pittsfield, Mass.-based company's net income was $10.3 million, or 32 cents per share. This compares to the year-ago period's $16.0 million, or 52 cents per share.

Full-year 2016 net income was $58.7 million, or $1.88 per share, compared to $49.5 million, or $1.73 per share, for 2015.
