Silver Lake board approves development of Santa gold mine

Silver Lake Resources Ltd. said Oct. 25 that its board has approved the development of the Santa underground mine at the Mount Belches mining center in Western Australia.

The company said that Santa will increase the available shallow, high-grade ore sources at Mount Monger. Santa will be the third, shallow, high-grade underground mine at the Mount Belches mining center.

Santa has a maiden ore reserve estimate of 257,000 tonnes grading 3.5 g/t gold for 29,000 ounces of gold, the company said Aug. 27.
