Nissei Build Kogyo Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 came to ¥26.19 per share, a gain of 61.2% from ¥16.25 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥849.4 million, an increase of 57.3% from ¥540.0 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 6.1% from 4.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 21.7% year over year to ¥13.84 billion from ¥11.38 billion, and total operating expenses rose 17.6% year over year to ¥12.49 billion from ¥10.63 billion.
Reported net income increased 35.3% year over year to ¥1.16 billion, or ¥35.79 per share, from ¥857.7 million, or ¥25.81 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥64.12 per share, an increase of 36.8% from ¥46.86 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥2.08 billion, a gain of 34.0% from ¥1.56 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue rose 5.3% year over year to ¥44.06 billion from ¥41.85 billion, and total operating expenses grew on an annual basis to ¥40.79 billion from ¥39.53 billion.
The company said reported net income increased 36.6% on an annual basis to ¥2.40 billion, or ¥73.66 per share, in the full year, from ¥1.75 billion, or ¥52.78 per share.
