Starbucks opens 1st store in Turks and Caicos Islands

Starbucks Corp. announced Oct. 14 that it launched its first store in Grand Turk Island, marking its debut in the Turks and Caicos market.

The coffee giant opened the location on the Grand Turk Cruise Port through a partnership with Caribbean Coffee Traders Ltd., a joint venture led by Margaritaville Caribbean Group.

"This store represents the company's 81st market globally, and 20th market in the Latin America and Caribbean region," Starbucks said in a press release.
