First Solar seeks approval to sell stake in Nev. project

First Solar Inc. subsidiary Moapa Southern Paiute Solar LLC is seeking FERC approval to complete the sale of its controlling class B membership interests in a Nevada solar project to Moapa Southern Paiute Solar InvestCo LLC.

The proposed acquisition involves the Moapa Southern Paiute Solar Project (K Road Moapa), a 250-MW photovoltaic facility in Clark County, Nev. If the sale is approved, Moapa Southern Paiute Solar InvestCo, a unit of Capital Dynamics AG, would have full ownership of the project.

FERC has been asked to order the approval by Feb. 28.
