Quinbrook to repower Calif. wind project

Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners Ltd. secured a new long-term lease to repower the Gonzaga Ridge Wind Farm in central California, according to a Feb. 5 news release.

Project developer Scout Clean Energy LLC won the exclusive right to build, own and operate a new wind farm project at the Gonzaga site, expected to boost wind capacity from 16.5 MW, to about 65 MW to 80 MW. Scout plans to replace the existing 1980s-era wind turbines with modern turbine technology. The new project will connect to California ISO's NP15 zone.
