Viacom Inc. reported fiscal third-quarter net earnings attributable to the company of $544 million, or $1.35 per share, up 5% from $522 million, or $1.29 per share, in the year-ago quarter.
The S&P Global Market Intelligence GAAP EPS consensus estimate for the quarter was $1.07.
Quarterly revenues totaled $3.36 billion, up 4% from year-ago revenues of $3.24 billion.
The company reported filmed entertainment revenues of $877 million for the quarter, driven by Paramount releases "Rocketman" and "Pet Sematary' in the fiscal third quarter.
Revenues for media networks were $2.50 billion. Domestic advertising revenue rose 6% in the fiscal third quarter, driven by accelerating growth in its advanced marketing solutions business.
International advertising revenue increased 9% driven by growth in Argentina and the U.K.
