Harima-Kyowa Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥33.73 per share, a decrease of 32.9% from ¥50.24 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥176.1 million, a decrease of 32.9% from ¥262.4 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 1.8% from 2.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed year over year to ¥9.95 billion from ¥9.61 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 5.3% year over year to ¥9.77 billion from ¥9.28 billion.
Reported net income decreased 31.8% from the prior-year period to ¥165.0 million, or ¥31.60 per share, from ¥242.0 million, or ¥46.34 per share.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
