National Grid seeks default service proposals Massachusetts

Massachusetts Electric Co. and Nantucket Electric Co. issued a request for proposals to provide default service to customers in Massachusetts.

Under the RFP, the National Grid USA subsidiaries are seeking default service for 50% of load share for the industrial customer group blocks for the May 1 through July 31 period; 50% of load share for the commercial customer group blocks for the May 1 through Oct. 31 period; 12.5% of load share for the residential customer group for the May 1 to Oct. 31 period; 50% of load share for the commercial customer group blocks for the Nov. 1 through April 30, 2019, period; and 12.5% of load share for the residential customer group loads for the Nov. 1 to April 30, 2019, period.

Interested respondents must submit their background and financial information by 5 p.m. ET on Feb. 23, indicative pricing information by 10 a.m. ET on March 7, and final pricing information by 10 a.m. ET on March 14. The final pricing should be valid until 1 p.m. ET.

Proposal information must be submitted to James Calandra through fax at 516-545-2464 and through email at ElectricSupply@NationalGrid.com, or it can be mailed to Wholesale Electric Supply, National Grid, 100 East Old Country Road, Hicksville, NY 11801.
