DBRS confirms ratings of JPMorgan, unit

DBRS on Dec. 20 confirmed the ratings of JPMorgan Chase & Co. and its primary banking subsidiary, JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, with a stable trend.

Confirmed were the company's long-term senior debt rating of AA (low), subordinated debt rating of A (high), short-term instruments rating of R-1 (middle), long-term issuer rating of AA (low) and short-term issuer rating of R-1 (middle). Also confirmed were the bank's long-term senior debt rating of AA, short-term instruments rating of R-1 (high), subordinated debt rating of AA (low), long-term deposits rating of AA, long-term issuer rating of AA and short-term issuer rating of R-1 (high).

The confirmation reflects the company's "powerful franchise, strong and consistent earnings, continued progress adjusting to regulatory requirements and scrutiny, and robust balance sheet fundamentals," according to DBRS.
