Ericsson nominates new chairman

Ericsson AB's board has nominated Ronnie Leten as the new chairman of the company board.

Leten would replace current Chairman Leif Johansson, who previously said he will not be available for re-election at the 2018 annual general meeting.

Leten has held various positions at Swedish manufacturing company Atlas Copco — he was president and CEO from 2009 to 2017.

The board's nomination committee also proposed the election of Kurt Jofs to the board of directors. Jofs was responsible for Ericsson's Networks business from 2003 to 2008 and is currently chairman at Tieto, an IT software and services company.

Meanwhile, Kristin Skogen Lund, who is the director general of industry group Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise, has notified the committee that she will not be available for re-election.
