Ironshore appoints president, COO of environmental practice

Ironshore Inc. has named Toby Smith president of its environmental unit and Kevin Fee COO for the environmental group at the company.

Smith assumes the role from John O'Brien after the former environmental unit CEO resigned. Smith, who helped launch Ironshore's environmental unit in 2009, has served in various management positions, including underwriting, marketing and distribution.

Fee, who also joined in 2009, most recently served as the regional executive for the Philadelphia region, while continuing his involvement in the environmental unit.
