Snow Peak Q3 profit climbs 33.5% YOY

Snow Peak Inc. said its third-quarter normalized net income came to ¥10.98 per share, a gain of 25.3% from ¥8.77 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥153.5 million, an increase of 33.5% from ¥115.0 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 6.6% from 5.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 9.1% year over year to ¥2.34 billion from ¥2.14 billion, and total operating expenses grew 8.6% on an annual basis to ¥2.09 billion from ¥1.92 billion.

Reported net income increased 34.5% year over year to ¥152.0 million, or ¥10.88 per share, from ¥113.0 million, or ¥8.62 per share.

As of Nov. 11, US$1 was equivalent to ¥106.63.
