The daily production of gas in North Dakota increased and the daily output of oil was flat month over month, with a total of 2,571 idle wells.
According to preliminary figures released by the North Dakota Industrial Commission, gas production totaled 94.02 Bcf, or 3.13 Bcf/d, for November 2019. The initial figure is above the adjusted total of 95.34 Bcf, or 3.08 Bcf/d, noted for October 2019.
Preliminary figures for oil production during November 2019 came in at 45.5 million barrels, or 1.52 million barrels per day. Adjusted production for October 2019 was reported at 47.1 million barrels, or 1.52 million bbl/d.
McKenzie County was the top producing county for the month with 48.45 Bcf, followed by Williams County with 18.94 Bcf.
McKenzie County also topped oil production for November 2019 with 18.30 million bbl followed by Dunn County with 8.92 million bbl.
Of the state's 18,661 wells capable of production, 16,090 wells were in use during the month.
