Alexandria Real Estate Equities Inc. was chosen by the city of Seattle to develop a mixed-use innovation campus.
The Mercer Mega Block campus, which will offer approximately 800,000 square feet of rentable space, will be developed on nearly 3 acres of an undeveloped site in the city's Lake Union submarket.
The multiuse campus will feature two 13-story office and laboratory towers, as well as a community center with 30,000 rentable square feet, onsite affordable housing, ground-floor retail and amenities.
