Kan-Nanmaru Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥17.05 per share, a gain of 30.0% from ¥13.12 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥65.0 million, a gain of 30.0% from ¥50.0 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 4.1% from 3.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined year over year to ¥1.58 billion from ¥1.63 billion, and total operating expenses decreased from the prior-year period to ¥1.48 billion from ¥1.55 billion.
Reported net income grew 14.7% year over year to ¥39.0 million, or ¥10.23 per share, from ¥34.0 million, or ¥8.92 per share.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
