Omega Healthcare tenant Diversicare finalizes deal to end Ky. operations

Healthcare real estate investment trust Omega Healthcare Investors Inc. and Diversicare Healthcare Services Inc. concluded an amended master lease agreement whereby the latter terminated the operations of 10 skilled nursing centers in Kentucky.

The operations of the 10 facilities, which contain about 885 beds, were handed over to an operator chosen by the REIT, effective Aug. 30.

The transaction marks an exit for Diversicare from the state of Kentucky as it focuses on its skilled nursing operations in other regions.
