Subsea 7 to install foundations for 90 wind turbines offshore England

Subsea 7 S.A. said Aug. 31 its renewables and heavy lifting business unit had been awarded a contract by Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm Ltd. to transport and install 90 wind turbine foundations offshore the east coast of England.

Subsea 7 will perform the contract work in 2020 using its heavy lifting crane vessel the Stanislav Yudin.

The 2 billion British pound, 860 MW project, located approximately 46 kilometers offshore England's North Norfolk coastline, is being developed by Innogy Renewables UK Ltd. and is 59% owned by Innogy SE, 25% owned by Electric Power Development Co. Ltd. and 16% owned by Kansai Electric Power Co.
