Autonomous cleaning devices company iRobot Corp. said Feb. 7 that it expects GAAP EPS for fiscal year ending December 29 to be in the range of $2.10 to $2.35, compared to S&P Capital IQ consensus GAAP EPS estimate of $2.30.
Operating income in the year is estimated to range between $86 million and $96 million, while revenue in the period is expected to come in the range of $1.05 billion to $1.08 billion, up 19% to 22% year over year.
Operating income in the fourth quarter of 2017 totaled $23.1 million, above the $18.7 million reported for the year-ago fiscal quarter, iRobot said. GAAP EPS in the quarter was 16 cents per share, lower than the mean consensus estimate of 25 cents, according to S&P Capital IQ.
For full year 2017, the manufacturer reported operating income of $72.7 million, compared to $57.6 million posted in the year-ago period. EPS for 2017 came in at $1.77, compared to $1.48 reported in 2016.
