Bank of Georgia names new CEO

London-listed Bank of Georgia Group PLC named Archil Gachechiladze as CEO of the group and of Tbilisi-based unit JSC Bank of Georgia.

He has also been appointed as a member of the board of directors of Bank of Georgia Group. Gachechiladze, who joins the lender from Georgia Global Utilities, will replace Kaha Kiknavelidze, who will step down from the CEO role and board. All changes are effective Jan. 28.

Gachechiladze's appointment to the bank's CEO role is subject to approval from its regulator, the National Bank of Georgia.
