C.T.I. Traffic Industries Q1 profit climbs 41.5% YOY

C.T.I. Traffic Industries Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the first quarter came to 8 Taiwan cents per share, a gain of 27.6% from 6 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$3.2 million, a gain of 41.5% from NT$2.2 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 3.5% from 2.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 9.8% on an annual basis to NT$93.5 million from NT$85.2 million, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to NT$86.7 million from NT$83.3 million.

Reported net income grew 52.4% year over year to NT$4.4 million, or 11 cents per share, from NT$2.9 million, or 8 cents per share.
