Con Edison unit acquires NJ solar farm from Starwood affiliate

Consolidated Edison Inc. subsidiary Consolidated Edison Development Inc. acquired the 14.4-MWdc Lakehurst solar farm from an affiliate of Starwood Energy Group Global LLC and Energy Management Inc.

The solar facility is located at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in Burlington County, N.J., and, according to a Jan. 7 news release, was developed under the U.S. Air Force's enhanced use lease program, a partnership between the military and private sector to achieve long-term energy security.
