Falck Renewables inks power supply deal for planned Spanish wind farm

Energía Eólica de Castilla SL signed an agreement to sell some output of its planned Carrecastro wind farm to Spanish energy supplier Holaluz.

The seven-year power purchase agreement covers around 75% of the electricity produced by the 10-MW wind farm, according to a Sept. 9 news release. Holaluz will be the "Balance Responsible Party" of the wind farm's production and will handle the route to market of the electricity output.

The subsidy-free Carrecastro wind farm is expected to start commercial operations in the last quarter of 2019.

Energía Eólica de Castilla is a subsidiary of Falck Renewables S.p.A., which has a 600-MW solar portfolio under development in Spain.
