Tethyan Resources PLC said June 12 that it has been granted a new exploration license in Kosovo's Trepca lead-zinc mining district.
The 75-square-kilometer Bistrice license is valid for an initial three years and can be extended up to three times for two years each.
Bistrice is 5 kilometers southwest of the Belo Brdo lead-zinc underground mine and is also south of and adjacent to Tethyan's Suva Ruda base and precious metals exploration license in Serbia.
The company plans to carry out sediment and soil sampling to generate drill targets.
