Heian Ceremony Service Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 came to ¥29.84 per share, a gain of 6.8% from ¥27.93 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥391.9 million, an increase of 6.8% from ¥366.9 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 15.1% from 14.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue came to ¥2.59 billion, compared with ¥2.58 billion in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses decreased from the prior-year period to ¥1.98 billion from ¥2.03 billion.
Reported net income increased 5.0% on an annual basis to ¥337.0 million, or ¥25.66 per share, from ¥321.0 million, or ¥24.44 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥89.18 per share, a gain from ¥88.27 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥1.17 billion, an increase from ¥1.16 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue totaled ¥9.53 billion, compared with ¥9.56 billion in the prior year, and total operating expenses came to ¥7.75 billion, compared with ¥7.83 billion in the prior-year period.
The company said reported net income rose year over year to ¥1.11 billion, or ¥84.74 per share, in the full year, from ¥1.08 billion, or ¥82.00 per share.
