Coeur Mining books lower Q4, FY'18 silver equivalent output

Coeur Mining Inc.'s fourth-quarter 2018 silver equivalent production reached 9.8 million ounces, including 3.5 million ounces of silver and 99,460 ounces of gold, down from the year-ago silver equivalent output of 10.8 million ounces.

Full-year 2018 production came in at 35.6 million ounces of silver equivalent, down from 39.4 million silver equivalent ounces it produced in 2017 and failing to meet its revised guidance of between 36.1 million and 39.5 million silver equivalent ounces. Full-year production figures included 12.9 million ounces of silver and 367,728 ounces of gold.

The strong results were driven by higher production at the Palmarejo mine in Mexico, the Rochester mine in Nevada, and the Kensington mine in Alaska.
